Cracidchicks are precocial chicks - which means they can perch, and peck shortly afterhatching.

Curassows perform "courtship-feeding". Amale will pick up a choice morsel of food, then call to his mate, who comes overand plucks it from his beak. To curassow keepers, observation of this behavioris a good indication that the pair is compatible.
