Guans
General Information:
The are 24 species of guans in 6 genera (Penelope, Pipile, Aburria, Chamaepetes, Penelopina, and Oreophasis) found in lowland rain forests and higher altitude cloud forests from Mexico to Argentina. Guans are noted for their diverse repertoire of vocalizations and their wing-drumming displays.
